You’ll take on the role of Daniel, and the game’s prologue will be a terrifying tale about him. You find yourself in a medieval castle with a message on your person explaining that you’ve been brought here for a specific purpose. You’ve been here for quite some time, and as the story progresses and we learn more about you through diary entries and flashbacks, we realize that you’re not here for good reasons.
That feeling of dread when you’re all by yourself in the dark is shared by you. Despite the total absence of light, supplies of lamp oil and tinderboxes are available nearby. Maintaining secrecy is a full-time job. Any remaining traces of recollection dissolve into the night. Everything is a blur; all you can think about is being chased. You hear a howl from far away, and you run down the halls as fast as you can.
Pure survival dread is abundant in Amnesia: The Dark Descent. winner club is the relaxation game you’ve been looking for. Since no firearms are available, Daniel is helpless in the face of any threat. Daniel’s only thing with him on his journey is a dwindling supply of matches for his oil lantern’s wick. The game’s objective is for the player to explore the entire castle and figure out how to escape on their own. The game doesn’t aim to hook you by immersing you in a realistic scenario with state-of-the-art 3D graphics and an atmospheric sound system. As soon as the game begins, it is entirely under your command. You won’t find any flashbacks or other time-skipping elements here. Each event occurs simultaneously.
